In this position you will be responsible to oversee daily operations of the electric distribution network, ensuring reliability and compliance with regulatory stands, lead, mentor, and manage a team of powerline technicians and team leads, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. You will navigate labor relations with a sound understanding of collective agreement and effective management within a unionized work environment, coordinate maintenance, construction, and emergency response activities, optimizing resource allocation and scheduling to meet operational targets and customer needs.

Requirements include:

• Proven experience in utility operations, electrical engineering, or a related field, with a strong preference for experience in electric distribution
• 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role, with experience managing teams in a technical or operational environment
• Knowledge of electrical utility regulations, safety standards and best practices
• Journeyman Powerline Technician, related Technology Diploma, or Post-secondary degree
• Valid Alberta Driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the service area as needed
