Manage livestock  utilizing low-stress handling techniques including calving season  (March-April), year-round grazing management, breeding program, delivery of  nutritional program (winter feeding), light veterinary care, as per  protocols, record keeping (digitally). Responsibilities also include  maintaining facilities, yards, equipment, fences, water infrastructure, etc.  Operate and maintain heavy equipment (Class 1 is an asset, although not  required). Assist in hay and row-crop establishment, maintenance and harvest  when necessary. Work with a team of experts (veterinarians, nutritionists,  agronomists, etc.) to reach high performing business goals.  

 Requirements:

• Class 5 Drivers Licence (Class  1 preferred but not necessary)

• Experienced in cattle  handling, animal welfare, and transportation

• Mechanical skills

• Motivated, independent individual that  enjoys working in the outdoors and has a passion for agriculture and  livestock husbandry

• Experience in agriculture industry and  is open to adding to their skillset, expanding their points of view and is  forward-thinking

• Salary is dependant on experience and  is competitive. There is room for growth within the position
