Kiddies Korner Playschool is looking for a warm, energetic, and dedicated Playschool Teacher to join our team! We are a non-profit, parent-run program that values play-based learning, creativity, and fostering a positive environment for every child.

Requirements:

• Arrive at least 15 minutes before class to set up, prepare materials, and greet children and parents
• Plan and deliver a play-based curriculum that supports children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
• Provide clear direction to parent helpers and work collaboratively with the Teacher Aide
• Always maintain child safety and well-being
• Work alongside JCC staff and partnering with the PUF Program to support inclusive education and learning for young students
• Ability to manage a classroom size of 8-12 students
• Keep accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and progress
• Communicate any concerns or issues to the Executive before addressing parents
• Follow Kiddies Korner Handbook and Child Care Licensing Act guidelines
• Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting classroom environment, sharing toy and surface cleaning duties
• Work within the approved budget for supplies, requesting additional funds if needed
