We are looking to expand our highway maintenance operations areas and are preparing a response to an RFP announced by the Provincial Government for a highway maintenance contract in Eastern and Central Alberta. As such, LaPrairie Works is in search for applications to fill the role of Equipment Operator for Alberta – Oyen (CMA 519) - Highway Maintenance Operations. The selected candidates will be hired should LaPrairie Works be successful in procuring the contract for this area.

Requirements:

• Experience in equipment operations including tractor-trailers, snowplow trucks with sanders, maintenance graders, and/or other highway maintenance / construction equipment.
• Experience and ability to perform various highway maintenance activities including highway maintenance labour work, road and bridge maintenance, and other construction activities.
• A valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license.
• Ability to work day and night shifts.
• Demonstrated initiative with solid HSE fundamentals and a sound work ethic.
