Clinical Nursing Instructor

Red Deer Polytechnic is hiring for a part-time Clinical Nursing Instructor to teach a clinical in Drumheller for 6 weeks (October 27 to Dec 9). The successful candidate will be required to travel to the Drumheller site. If you are eligible, travel expenses may be reimbursed in accordance with RDP’s Travel and Reimbursement of Expenses procedure. The BScN program is a four-year collaborative degree with the University of Alberta, approved by the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta. The BScN program provides exceptional opportunities to work closely with students, faculty, and staff in an innovative, supportive environment that promotes creativity, scholarship, and commitment to student success. Start date would be one week before the clinical begins (October 27) and one week after it ends (December 9).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse with current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Current Heart and Stroke Foundation Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider or Recertification Certificate, or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Current Immunizations as per RDP requirements
- Respiratory Fit Testing
- Valid Driver’s License
- A satisfactory Criminal Record Check in accordance with the Polytechnic’s
- Criminal Record Check policy
