We are currently recruiting for a Journeyperson Carpenter with strong attention to detail, superb organization, and time management skills. As a Carpenter you will be an integral part of the Special Areas team. For you, safety and quality are a priority, and you are proud of your work at the end of each day. The right candidate will provide maintenance and repair to Special Areas facilities, assist in the construction of new facilities, assist in providing estimates, quotes, RFP information for new construction and repairs, and assist in upkeep of the Carpenter Shop, including maintaining the safety of the facility.

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent (GED).
• Valid Alberta Certification of Qualification as a Journeyperson Carpenter, with a minimum of two (2) years’ post-certification experience in the trade.
• Demonstrate professionalism as a safety-conscious team player with strong interpersonal, communication, and written skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced work environment.
• Sound working knowledge of the Alberta Building Code and applicable regulations.
• Possession of a valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
