Who should take the ATV Rider Safety Course? Any individual using an ATV for recreational or job-related activities. The ATV Rider Safety Course can help reduce the number of accidents and injuries because of untrained and inexperienced operators. Participants will gain skills and knowledge to react properly to hazardous riding situations. This course will bring ATV riders up to speed on proper riding techniques through practical exercises and scenarios using controls, reading terrain, turning, and climbing hills. Participants must be at least 16 years of age and are required to provide their own ATV with owner's manual. Please wear long sleeve shirt, long pants, and boots and bring photo ID, a helmet, gloves, eye protection, and a bag lunch. Class size is limited. Certification from the Canada Safety Council will be issued upon completion of this course.
