In this position you will be responsible for monitoring product, monitoring inventory of shop supplies, completing density test twice daily – Bio-Sul, Compost, Sulphur, Record on checklist, direct compost trucks – note detail of smell, texture, and density, monitor inventory of shop supplies: oil, grease, and DEF. You will assist HEO’s when required, keep site clean of garbage – dispose of all garbage, empty containers, oil pails, keep tool shed clean and organized – all liquids in containment trays, clearing of Sulphur and other debris on ring road, parking lot, access road and site entrance, check the integrity of wind fence, check small tent – cables and tarp – making sure everything is secure.  You will be responsible for sourcing equipment parts, applying water to pad for dust control, applying water while screening for dust control, dating storage bags, integrity of tire distribution and tarp stability (covered Bio-Sul), recordkeeping: date of tarped product/silage bags, amount of product stored, and density. You will also check the outgoing load sheets – density and the fire extinguishers – monthly checks, accessible not in snow/ice and easy to reach. Seasonal duties may include; clearing snow with skid steer and broom attachment– scale and site entrance, apply pickle if required, water trees and grass and mowing of grass and weed control.

Requirements include:

  • Being a self-starter, motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Mechanically inclined with strong hand/eye co-ordination and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks are required in this role
  • Class 3 Licence - an asset
  • Skid steer experience
