The Town is seeking an Operator 1 or Operator 2 to join their Team on a casual basis (an Operator-in-Training may be considered depending on experience and qualifications). In this position you will be responsible for the daily maintenance, testing and operations of the Town’s Water and Waste Water Systems in accordance with Provincial and Federal legislation, codes, bylaws, policies and procedures.

Requirements include:

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
• Certification in Level 1, 2, or 3 in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Waste Water Collection, and Waste Water Treatment
• Applicants with lower certification will be considered at a lower wage as per CUPE 135 Collective Agreement
• Physically fit with the ability to withstand normal working conditions
• Performs all duties with a minimum of supervision and work effectively with variable work loads
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Hands-on application and use of computer systems and their applications
• Valid Alberta Driver's Licence
