Mobile Parking Enforcement Officer


Are you looking for a full-time fast-paced outdoor seasonal work? Do you enjoy working with people or have an interest in law enforcement? The Town of Drumheller is seeking responsible and customer service focused individuals to assist in the administration and enforcement of a paid parking system. You will report to the Director of Emergency and Protective Services, the Parking Enforcement Officer is responsible for monitoring parking lots and streets to make sure drivers adhere to paid parking regulations. Other duties include educating the public on town parking rules, issuing tickets or warnings to violators, operating vehicles, electronic parking systems, and radios, maintaining records and compiling reports, liaising and working effectively with Municipal Enforcement and performing assigned duties, tasks, and functions as assigned by the Director of Emergency and Protective Services.
Requirements include:
- This position is funded through the Canada Summer Job Grant program and therefore you must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Minimum Class 5 Drivers' Licence with clean driving record
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Post secondary in Criminal Justice or related Law Enforcement studies preferred
- Related enforcement service would be an asset
