In this position you will be responsible for maintenance of Town parks, downtown areas, and designated sites. Plants, prunes, cultivates, waters, and fertilizes flower beds. You will play an integral role in the upkeep of the Towns' parks and other outdoor areas by carrying out horticultural activities and maintaining the Towns' gardens to create a healthy and vibrant landscape. You will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment and mowers.

Requirements include:

• Must be bondable
• General knowledge of propagation and growing techniques
• The ability to identify various plants, understand plant needs and familiarity with landscape design and maintenance
• Working knowledge of parks and horticulture and irrigation operating systems (thorough knowledge is preferred)
• Ability to operate a variety of related equipment
• Demonstrated ability to work in a physically demanding environment, in all weather conditions, including the ability to lift up to 25 kg
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working with computer programs in a Windows environment
• Ability to effectively communicate with others and explain work processes and procedures
• Safety conscious mindset
• Ability to obtain additional training, permits, certifications or licences as required
• Valid Drivers' Licence
• A current and clear Police Information check is required
